Digital city walks and audio tour Ansbach

Project description

In May 2025, TourComm was commissioned to transfer the existing tours from a now insolvent provider to the MAQNIFY© Guide. The aim was to reactivate the offer in the short term and ensure the online visibility of the content.

The five planned guides were based on open data that was conveniently synchronised via an interface to the GNTB Knowledge Graph. Within a very short time, almost 100 POIs were created in this way.

Advantages: Bye-bye duplicate data maintenance

The interface to the GNTB Knowledge Graph has many advantages for customers like Ansbach. Data does not have to be maintained in different places. Information such as texts, images and opening hours are automatically transferred. Foreign-language content is also taken into account, provided it has been stored at the data source.

Functionalities and benefits

The MAQNIFY© Guide for Ansbach offers a variety of functions to accompany visitors during their visit. In addition to the presentation of the ‘POI’ in four themed tours, the web app also includes an audio tour. This makes it possible to experience selected places in Ansbach acoustically. Existing audio files in German and English were uploaded to the synchronised POIs for this purpose. Additional information was translated via the deepL interface.
